Our goal is to continue to operate and maintain this facility that guarantees our non-profit agencies a rent-free office. This allows the agencies to concentrate their funds and resources directly on programs and support for their clients. None of this is possible without your dedication to the underserved in the Conejo Valley.

On June 7th, 2018, the City of Thousand Oaks Council on Aging held the Dinner and Award Ceremony to honor the nominees for Senior of the Year. This years nominees were Bob Caccavo, Sharon Leir, Irene Seda, Margaret Fieweger, and Nancy Healy. Each nominee has made significant contributions to the community and well deserved the recognition.
As a Community Conscience tenant, Villa’s West Region office saves between $40,000 to $50,000 each year that would otherwise be spent on rent. Another great benefit of Community Conscience’s building is that it functions as a one-stop shop for Villa’s clients and other vulnerable community members.
The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce didn’t think another day should go by without Fran Brough getting her just rewards. At its March 2 Recognition Gala, Brough received the organization’s highest citizen honor: Volunteer of the Year.
It has been two years in the works and she has finally arrived! The installation of the statue took place during the last weekend of January 2018. Conejo Cottontails is a collaborative project created by Art Trek and the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley, both non-profit organizations. Each Cottontail is uniquely designed by a different artist.
Bob Engler and Helene Ross have been named King and Queen of the 26th annual Mardi Gras Ball, which will be held the evening of Saturday March 3 at the Hyatt Regency Westlake Village Hotel. The Ball is Community Conscience’s largest fund-raiser and this year’s title sponsor is Union Bank.
