We have heard of Black Friday, but what is #GivingTuesday?

In 2012, the 92nd Street Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association and the United Nations Foundation started #GivingTuesday as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season. It has grown into a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Small Business Saturday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community. By supporting Community Conscience your donations will save non-profit agencies over $250,000.00 in rent. Those savings can be redirected to provide critical services for their clients.

You will receive a tax receipt for your contributions.  Thank you for your continued support!
